about
Abby Lindstrom King is a mixed media artist who creates in Billings, Montana. Her mixed media work combines pyrography pen techniques with acrylic paint to create unique, detail focused landscapes and silhouettes that draw the viewer in for a closer look. The intricate patterns and shapes found in her pieces are inspired by traditional patterns from Abby's Swedish and Polish heritage (Nordic runes, traditional embroidery, and pisanki). The diverse and wild landscapes of Montana provide Abby with a constant source of artistic inspiration. Through her art, she enjoys exploring how humans interact with and reflect on the land, animals, and people around them in the midst of a rapidly changing Montana.
